BEIJING, April 29, 2026 – CALB dominated the 2026 Beijing Auto Show with its comprehensive battery technology showcase, where its flagship Topflow battery system powered the global debuts of seven high-profile electric models including Harmony Smart Mobility Shangjie Z7/Z7T, Zhijie R7, Toyota BZ7 and Xiaopeng GX. In total, over 30 automotive brands and 40 production models equipped with CALB batteries were on display, cementing the company’s position as a leading global battery supplier.

Under the theme “The Battery Expert”, CALB highlighted three core technology pillars: Topflow passenger vehicle batteries, Zhiyuan commercial vehicle batteries, and its industry-leading solid-state roadmap. The exhibition also featured CALB’s forward-looking solutions for low-altitude aviation and humanoid robotics, demonstrating its full-scenario electrification strategy.

Topflow Battery: Benchmark for Premium EV Performance

CALB’s Topflow battery technology has become the industry standard for high-end electric vehicles. Its 80–100 kWh ternary lithium packs meet the world’s strictest safety standards and are now integrated into multiple premium vehicle lineups. The 10C ultra-fast charging variant delivers 400 km of range in just 5 minutes, maintains zero capacity degradation at -20°C, and provides over 1,000 km of total range on a single charge, delivering a refueling-like experience that eliminates EV charging anxiety.

Solid-State Roadmap: From Lab to Mass Production

CALB announced major milestones in solid-state and semi-solid battery industrialization, with a clear three-stage roadmap from liquid to hybrid to full solid-state:

  • 360 Wh/kg Aviation-Grade Battery: The world’s first mass-produced aviation-grade battery, now powering the Xiaopeng Heite X3-F flying car which recently rolled off the production line in Chengdu. It features a 25C ultra-high discharge rate and holds both automotive and aviation safety certifications.

  • 400 Wh/kg Solid-Liquid Hybrid Battery: The first vehicle-grade mass-produced hybrid battery, supporting 2C fast charging and delivering 20% better range at -25°C. It has passed 44 rigorous safety tests, clearing the path for large-scale deployment in 2027.

  • 450 Wh/kg All-Solid-State Battery: Development completed for robotics and aircraft applications. A 60 Ah automotive-grade all-solid-state cell (400+ Wh/kg) is currently under development. CALB has also built the industry’s first dedicated all-solid-state battery mass production line, with engineering verification and vehicle integration underway.

Full-Scenario Electrification Strategy

Beyond passenger vehicles, CALB showcased its Zhiyuan commercial vehicle battery series and expanded its technology ecosystem to cover low-altitude economy and humanoid robotics. This comprehensive approach positions CALB as a key enabler for the next generation of electrification, powering mobility on the ground, in the air, and across industrial applications.
