A batch of CATL 3.7V 59Ah NMC cells left our warehouse today for a customer in Italy. Before loading, every cell passed a full visual check. Any unit with scratches, dents, bent terminals or any visible defect was pulled out. Only cells with clean casing, proper terminals and sealed housing entered the packing line.
We measured voltage and internal resistance on every cell individually to keep the batch tightly matched. This means the cells can go straight into energy storage system assembly on arrival, without worrying about high-IR outliers causing voltage divergence or uneven heat. For storage projects, cell mismatch is the biggest risk — we remove it at the source.
Before sealing, we placed insulated separators between cells, covered terminals with short-circuit protection caps, and loaded the cells into reinforced cartons and pallets, wrapped with stretch film and strapping. Sea freight is rough. We want the cells to look exactly the same when you unbox them as when they left our line.
