Custom-Engineered Cell Solutions: Core Innovations & Target Applications
EVE’s Longquan SSB family is developed on the company’s proprietary composite solid electrolyte platform, with targeted refinements to the cathode’s dual-coating design and anode architecture to cut down interfacial impedance dramatically. The two newly released models are purpose-built for separate high-growth market segments, with specifications fine-tuned to meet the strict requirements of each end-use case.
Ultra-Low-Pressure Cell for High-Performance Portable & Intelligent Devices
Optimized for high-end consumer electronics, humanoid robots, premium drones, and other high-spec portable devices, this cell (Longquan 3) delivers a game-changing ultra-low operating pressure of ≤2MPa. This breakthrough eliminates the need for intricate, high-cost high-pressure packaging systems that are mandatory for most existing SSB solutions on the market. Its core benefits include class-leading volumetric energy density, exceptional cycling stability under low-pressure conditions, simplified system integration, and significantly reduced assembly costs for device makers.
Large-Format Automotive-Qualified Cell for Mobility & Grid-Scale Storage
Developed for heavy-duty industrial and automotive use cases, this cell (Longquan 4) is tailored for electric vehicles (EVs), heavy-lift aerial vehicles, and utility-scale energy storage systems. It operates at a ≤5MPa pressure threshold, calibrated to withstand the rigorous demands of automotive and industrial operating environments. The cell features a large 60Ah capacity design, has completed preliminary automotive-grade engineering validation, and is built with a scalable architecture to support a seamless transition into mass production trials.


R&D Journey & Current Manufacturing Readiness
EVE Energy began construction of its dedicated Chengdu SSB research and production facility back in 2022, creating a specialized hub for the development and scaling of solid-state battery technology. In September 2025, the company launched the 10Ah Longquan 2 cell, which was focused on performance verification for high-end equipment applications. The newly unveiled Longquan 3 and 4 mark a major generational leap forward, with a core focus on resolving the pressure limitations that have been a primary barrier to global SSB commercialization.
Compared to the Longquan 2 predecessor, the new models deliver a drastic reduction in required operating pressure, enabling full compatibility with real-world use cases in both consumer electronics and automotive sectors. EVE’s Chengdu campus currently houses a pilot production line for all-solid-state batteries ranging from 10Ah to 60Ah, with both the Longquan 3 and 4 now available as engineering samples for customer validation and performance testing.

Moving forward, EVE Energy will continue its iterative development work to refine pressure control, cycle life, and rate performance across its SSB platform.
